Velvet Abashian is the Broker and Owner of Avian Village Realty, Inc which she started in 1990 after a decade of working for major Manhattan Real Estate Firms.  She first acquired her Real Estate License in 1979 after a career in Medical Photography.

In the past 27 years Velvet has personally completed over 75 Sales Transactions and more than 1,200 Rentals.  Her Real Estate experience includes being a Landlord for over 25 years, and a New York City Broker for almost 3 decades.  She is knowledgeable about Construction, Property Management, and is the President of the Condominium Association at 13 Morton Street where her office is located.

Velvet is a Graduate of Wagner College with a degree in Philosophy and Eastern Religions and spent a year abroad living in Austria.

Her continued education in the area of personal development, human awareness and advancement help enable her to bring a unique “listening” to everyone she works with.
